Is COVID-19 real and does it impact the excess mortality in 2020?

Just the facts, lessons learned from the first SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus wave (end of August / early September 2020). Charts show the excess deaths for 2020 when compared to average deaths 2015–2019 (Percentage increase/decrease). It is up to the reader to conclude and extrapolate this conclusion for the winter season in the Northern hemisphere. Source (linkECDC).

I will try to find the statistics and prepare similar chart for Macedonia in the following weeks. I am aware that we are comparing different statistical methods which vary country to country on a single page, but stick to the relative trends.
